On Sunday, the 29th of may, on the Day of the Park, the new Bijlmerpark opens. City district Zuidoost of Amsterdam celebrates this day with residents and others involved after a period of three years of hard work to renovate the park. It will be a festive opening, including a skate demo and performances. The very colorful sports- and games-esplanade designed by Carve to an idea of Marie-Laure Hoedemakers is a striking part of the park. The esplanade consists of a playing trip, accommodation for the playgroundmanager, water playground, sportsfield with a boulderwall and a skate park.
